KAREN KRISTIANSSON, AICP

Ms. Kristiansson is responsible for a number of planning projects. She has led multi-disciplinary teams and managed the preparation of a variety of planning documents, including specific plans, CEQA documents, housing elements and studies.

Ms. Kristiansson is currently providing assistance to the City of Newark on a number of projects. These include a downtown infill housing study, revisions to the zoning code, implementation of various housing element programs, and assistance administering Community Development Block Grant funds. She is also working for the City of Burlingame as the Project Manager for the city’s Downtown Specific Plan project, to develop a specific plan for the Burlingame Avenue area. Other recent clients have included the Town of Portola Valley and the City of Fremont.
